BERLIN BRANDENBURG INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

An IB World School
Berlin Brandenburg International School is a true international school. We are an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization in Geneva, Switzerland, to teach all three International Baccalaureate programmes covering the 3-19 age range. We are also fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Our Students
We teach approximately 680 students from Early Childhood to grade 12 representing about 60 different nationalities. Our boarding facility houses international students from grades 6 through 12. A commitment to academic excellence is matched by a belief in educating the whole person. Our teachers are certified professionals from all over the world. Classes are small, with usually less than 18 students. We are pleased to offer support for students with special needs and to those for whom English is not a first language.

Our Mission
BBIS offers its students a challenging, comprehensive education within a diverse, respectful, caring, and encouraging community of learners, enabling them to develop the skills necessary to achieve their full potential.

Campus Location
Our campus is located in the village of Kleinmachnow, in a large, quiet, wooded setting just north of the Machnower See and the Teltowkanal. It is only a few minutes drive from the residential areas of southwest Berlin and the Brandenburg suburbs, and within short driving distance to Potsdam.

Boarding Location
The boarding facility is situated on the BBIS campus.
