I know a bank where the wild thyme blows …..

The performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream was the embodiment of a high quality-production in which the BBIS students and staff shone once again on and off stage. The talented cast successfully took on the challenge and managed to portray the quirky, elegant, and eccentric characters in a humorous way.

The rehearsals, tedious as they were, maintained the motivated and whimsical atmosphere, crafted through the hours. The brilliant directors, Rem Johannsen and Elizabeth Appleton, complemented each other in terms of their varying directing styles and their collaboration transformed this classical play into something truly unique. The wonderful musical element played by the BBIS Orchestra set this production apart, especially by including the gifted Lauren who added magic to an already magical play. The enchanting stage design and 360 degree layout transported the audience into the world of Shakespeare and allowed hilarious interactions with between the actors and the enthusiastic audience. Through lighting, set design, and costume, music, acting, and, most importantly, brilliant directing, the audience immersed themselves in an entertaining performance at our beloved Heizhaus! Truly magical!
