INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMME

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is for students aged 16-19 and aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.

The IBDP curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the core, comprising Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) and the Extended Essay. Through the core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service.

*Please note that courses are offered according to student demand. Not all courses are offered every year.

**Students who choose a self-taught course need to prove that they have had formal instruction in their mother tongue for several years. Self-taught students are not taught face-to-face but work together with a supervisor who helps students to compile the literature list, structure the course, prepare students for the oral and written examinations and monitors their progress. This course requires from students a very high degree of independent work.
