BERMUN 2 2019
Climate change is the environmental challenge of this generation, and it is imperative that we act before it's too late. John Delaney
From Thursday 28 February to Saturday 2 March, six dedicated BBIS Model United Nations (MUN) students from Grades 10 and 11 (Leo, Bandar, Naemi, Caspar, Ananya and Ben) gave up some of their holiday time to join with students from other schools to attend the BERMUN 2 2019 conference hosted by the John F. Kennedy School at the Adenauer Konrad Stiftung Centre in Berlin.
The very pertinent theme of the conference was, Advancing Climate Action: the Key to Sustainable Future
Over the two days of the conference, the students spent their time debating, writing resolutions, lobbying, and networking within their committees. The committees, councils and organs were:
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Naemi
Security Council (SC) Leo
World Health Organisation (WHO) Bandar
Special Conference (SpC) Caspar
Environment Committee (EC) Ananya and Ben
International Court of Justice (IJC)
Thank you to Ms J-H for chaperoning the event.
