BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an independently run, state-approved, inclusive, English-medium day and boarding school serving the internationally-minded community of Germany’s capital region and beyond. As one of the world’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, BBIS proudly offers three IB programmes in the Primary, Middle and Diploma years of schooling. In the current school year 2021/22 our school teaches about 730 students who represent more than 60 nationalities.

Job Description
  • To ensure that a primary school student with identified learning and language acquisition needs has access to the IB PYP curriculum through the provision of in-class support.
  • To work collaboratively with mainstream colleagues to provide appropriate student support and the necessary program modifications and classroom accommodations.
  • Track and report student progress against identified academic or behavioural targets.
  • Collaborating with mainstream teachers and departmental colleagues for student success.
Your Profile
  • Educated to degree level.
  • A ‘Special Needs’ or EAL qualification preferable.
  • Relevant experience working with students with learning and / or language acquisition needs in a mainstream environment.
  • Confident, self-motivated and with great people skills.
  • Experience of collaborating and working in teams.
