BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an independently run, state-approved, inclusive, English-medium day and boarding school serving the internationally-minded community of Germany’s capital region and beyond. As one of the world’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, BBIS proudly offers three IB programmes in the Primary, Middle and Diploma years of schooling. In the current school year 2022/23 our school teaches about 810 students who represent more than 65 nationalities.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the overall leadership, organisation, supervision, and direction of the Athletics and Activities programs at BBIS.

  • Work in close collaboration with the school’s leadership team, whilst embodying the school’s core values of excellence, innovation, caring and reflections.

  • Develop an equitable and inclusive ensuring every student has the opportunity to become involved, extending their learning beyond the traditional classroom.
  • Plan collaboratively and contribute across the whole school.
  • Create a safe, secure and stimulating environment based on understanding, respect and shared agreements in accordance with BBIS’ Child Safeguarding Policy.
  • Promote awareness of sports and activities.

Your Profile
  • BBIS teachers are highly qualified educators who cater to students’ individual needs
  • Teaching certification with a master’s degree, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role in international schools.
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and spoken).
  • Demonstrate at all times the learner profile attributes/dispositions.
  • Motivate students to become creative and critical thinkers, who are actively engaged in their own learning.
  • Value and make productive use of the diversity of cultures and perspectives that exist in the school community.
  • Team player who is flexible, resilient, and a risk taker with a positive growth mind-set.
  • Confidence to seek support when uncertain or challenged.
  • Extensive leadership experience with respect to sports and activities.
