BBIS Berlin Brandenburg International School is an independently run, state-approved, inclusive, English-medium day and boarding school serving the internationally-minded community of Germany’s capital region and beyond. As one of the world’s leading International Baccalaureate (IB) schools, BBIS proudly offers three IB programmes in the Primary, Middle and Diploma years of schooling. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
- Advice and support for employees and supervisors in all HR and labor law issues
- Preparation and implementation of personnel measures such as salary changes, job
transfers, entries and exits - Personnel administration activities (e.g. employment contracts, certificates, job
references, data administration in the HR administration system) - Recruiting for the administrative departments including trainees and federal volunteers
- Coordination of the training for the apprenticeships as well as federal voluntary service
- Onboarding of new (mostly international) employees
- Point of contact for data protection issues, occupational health and safety
- Preparation and follow-up of payroll accounting, time management/vacation planning
- Cooperation with the works council, the lawyer for labor law, recruitment agencies, federal employment agency, chamber of commerce, company doctor, etc.
YOUR QUALIFICATION
- BA in economics or commercial training or a comparable qualification, preferably with a focus on human resources
- Several years of relevant professional experience in human resources, ideally in an international environment
- Solid knowledge of German labor and works constitution law
- Safe handling of MS Office products
- Very good command of German and English
- Independent, goal-oriented and systematic way of working as well as a pronounced sense of responsibility and reliability
- Team player with very good communication skills and strong intercultural skills
- Hands-on mentality with a strong service orientation
