LEARNING MORNINGS OPEN THE CLASSROOM DOOR FOR FAMILIES

BBIS hosted its very first Early Education Learning Mornings, welcoming families into the classroom to experience learning alongside their children aged 3 to 6.

Held over the course of a week, the Learning Mornings gave parents the opportunity to attend a session within their child’s classroom and take part in activities that reflect everyday learning in Early Education. From creative exploration and collaborative play to moments of curiosity and discovery, families were able to see first-hand how our youngest learners engage with the world around them.

Parents shared how valuable it was to observe their children in the classroom environment and gain a deeper understanding of their daily experiences at school. Many commented on the children’s confidence, independence and enthusiasm for learning, as well as the calm, supportive atmosphere within the classrooms.

One parent described the experience as “wonderful”, sharing how meaningful it was to see their child confidently demonstrate her learning and progress throughout the morning. Another reflected on “how naturally the children interact with their teacher, and how comfortable and happy they seem in the classroom,” while also appreciating the balance between structured learning, creativity and technology integration.

Families also valued the opportunity to observe their children learning in English, interacting with classmates and responding to new challenges. As one parent shared, “For parents, what happens during classes is often a bit of a mystery, so being able to witness it personally gave me a much deeper understanding of his development, confidence and daily school experience.”

The Learning Mornings also strengthened the partnership between families and teachers that supports each child’s growth and wellbeing.

We are grateful to all the families who joined us and helped make this first experience such a positive one. Following the warm response from our community, we look forward to offering more Learning Mornings in the next school year.
